PROFILE OF MADALEEN ‘MADDY’ PULSIFER/KLOEBER

ARTIST AND WORLD CLASS MASTER CARVER

We are delighted to relate her remarkable success story.  Born to create wood sculptures, clay models, bronzes, oil and watercolor paintings and then, communicate her extraordinary skills to students in a workshop setting which has been her life for the past twenty-two years.

Perhaps what sets her apart is the pride she feels for the successes and recognition her students have enjoyed over the years by way of countless awards including many best of show, people’s choice, and blue ribbons galore.  No wonder she is acclaimed by her peers as one of the top instructors in the country.

Three times she has been featured on the cover of the “National Woodcarver’s Association” magazine Chip Chats and her award winning carvings have graced it’s pages for many years.

Among her most notable commissions is a “Cheetah” created for the late Amanda Blake, “Miss Kitty” of TV’s “Gunsmoke” fame.  Also, a welcoming Christ Cross, enshrined at St. Maria Goretti Church, Scottsdale, Arizona and her now famous “Pegasus” the mythical winged steed.

Motivation has never been a problem.  Having enough time is always the problem.

Perhaps we can summarize this remarkable artist in one simple phrase:

‘MADDY IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL ARTIST,

TEACHER AND MASTER CARVER’.
